Network Administrator

Description/Job Summary

To be responsible for the management and maintenance of Pride Mobility’s LAN/WAN environment    
 

Responsibilities/Duties

•Provide oversight of the daily upkeep and administration of Pride Mobility’s network infrastructure
•Responsible for the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of Pride Mobility’s network infrastructure and architecture
•Actively protect information technology assets and infrastructure from internal and external threats
•Provide architecture, engineering and operational support for all devices throughout the infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless devices, and VPN client products
•Design and implement logical network infrastructure including LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewall policies, routing protocols, MPLS, and QOS
•Create network documentation that includes physical and logical designs, IP schemas, and firewall rule sets
•Ensure that hardware and software infrastructure is maintained with latest firmware and software requirements
•Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide detailed root cause analysis for advanced network issues including configuration, routing issues, performance, software bugs, and hardware failures
•Document and implement best practices for network design, patch management, administration, upgrades, and security
•Manage basic and expedited support to resolve all networking related issues
•Maintain administration of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and web application firewalls
•Assist with designing and maintaining business critical datacenters at multiple locations
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

•Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Advanced working knowledge of Visio
•A strong understanding and focus on quality of network changes to ensure no impact to the business
•Excellent web navigation skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 

Preferred Skills

•Basic working knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016, Linux and Virtualization Platforms preferred

•Basic working knowledge of F5 load balancer preferred

Required Experience

•At least 7 years of experience in a Network Administration role that includes network architecture responsibilities

•At least 5 years of experience with installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco products

Preferred Experience

•At least 10 years of experience in a Network Administration role that includes network architecture responsibilities preferred

•At least 7 years of experience with installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco products preferred

•At least 1 year of VOIP experience preferred

Required Education

•Associate’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Information Systems, Networking or related field

Preferred Education

•Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Information Systems, Networking or related field

•Technical Certification such as Cisco CCNA, CCDA or CCNP preferred
