Description/Job Summary

Secure cut fabric and sewn fabric to wood framing utilizing staples


•Ensure the wood frame component is manufactured correctly before attempting to upholster

•Ensure the correct fabric is placed on the correct frame

•Use cardboard, fiber, foam and cardboard/metal tack strips as required

•Place staples in a correct sequence and ensure they are all aligned

•Ensure all folds and pleats are consistent

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Required Skills

•Must be a team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs*
*Employees will be provided with assistance lifting in excess of 40 lbs (i.e. another employee, or a hoist)

Must have:
•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Good verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience

•At least 1 year of experience in a furniture upholstery position or equivalent training

Preferred Education

•High School Diploma or GED
