Description/Job Summary

To support manufacturing by helping maintain production efficiencies in accordance with process requirements which include assessing and replenishing parts, managing inventory, and preparing and packaging products for shipping


•Move raw materials and finished goods for processing or dispatch to designated areas of the warehouse, docks, and production floor

•Track and ensure inventory is stored in the correct area of the warehouse for locating easily when processing orders

•Pick parts for production line and shipping utilizing a pick-list, ticket or Kan-Ban process

•Order parts from Kan-Ban area using product line replenishment sheet or pull parts from pallet racks whichever is applicable

•Constantly assess part quantities in bins, conveyors, racks and replenish as needed

•Cycle count inventory as needed

•Load and unload trailers

•Document product movements utilizing scan guns

•Retrieve sub-assembled parts from sub-assembly area

•Be aware of all Quality requirements

•Write up work tickets, apply shipping labels, and stretch wrap/band product

•Verify orders by referring picking tickets to product labels

•Differentiate similar model/serial numbers accurately and efficiently

•Use scan gun to close out jobs in Oracle for shipping, including packing slips, bills of lading and shipping labels

•Wrap and/or box all loose components and shrink wrap them to unit as per work instruction
•Choose proper pallet and place on packing line using lift assist
•Load Power Chair on pallet using conveyor and prepare proper sleeve
•Use a lift assist to place sleeve on unit and place all shipping labels on package
•Complete and process all units through each function of the packing line

•Follow the Work Instructions and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines

•Identify and bring to the attention of management any documentation errors including Bills of Material (BOM’s), quality documents, and work instructions

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Work in a non-climate controlled environment
•Maintain a high standard of quality in workmanship
•Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team
•Lift, stack and un-stack materials in presentation at the production line and designated areas of the warehouse
•Use a hydraulic lift, small hand tools, and small table lifting device
•Operate a forklift and/or a vertical lift
•Operate at heights up to 30 feet
•Stand/walk/bend throughout workday
•Lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 80 lbs
Must have:
•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Flexibility with working hours based on business needs

Preferred Skills

•Basic working knowledge of warehousing/distribution standard concepts, practices, and procedures preferred

Preferred Experience

•At least 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred*
*Warehouse environment has moderate forklift traffic, and may be cool in the winter and hot in the summer
•At least 1 year of experience with incoming and outgoing receiving of parts preferred
•At least 1 year of experience using hand tools to assemble or repair product preferred
•At least 1 year of experience using scan guns and printing labels preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
