Description/Job Summary

To support the purchasing of domestic and international parts, subassemblies, and services for various production requirements and customers of the Purchasing Department


•Analyze current pricing and negotiate cost reductions with suppliers

•Provide analysis of inventory levels and accounts

•Maintain communication of vendor production schedules

•Process requisitions and make group purchases to secure price advantages of quantity buying

•Communicate to management inconsistencies in fulfillment from vendors in a timely manner

•Analyze anticipated shortages and suggest possible alternatives

•Maintain daily and weekly models used for the purchasing of parts for the divisions assigned

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience

•At least 2 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

•At least 3 years of experience in the field of quantity buying of end items, services, supplies and equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
•At least 1 year of experience in an international purchasing environment preferred
•At least 1 year of experience with consignment programs preferred

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

Required Education

•High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education

•Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred
