Description/Job Summary

To assist Engineering and Project Management to test fit components, build prototypes, assist in product development and maintain build shop organization


•Assist with assembling prototype units from drawings and preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and revise any areas required
•Assist engineers with the daily activities such as prototype building, troubleshooting, or code development
•Assist engineers with model, assembly, and drawings created through 3D modeling with SolidWorks, as needed
•Assist engineers with engineering calculations and documentation, as needed
•Assist in ensuring designs are safe, effective, manufacturable, and reliable and meet quality system compliance
•Assist in ensuring designs meet Superior Product at Reduced Cost (SPARC) initiatives
•Assist in performing inspections, verifications, and validation testing
•Read and understand blueprints, and draft new prints
•Be familiar with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) regulations
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Basic mathematical and reading skills
•Strong knowledge of hand tools
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

•Basic working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer preferred
•Basic working knowledge of DC circuits preferred

Required Education

•High School Diploma or GED
•Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Required Qualifications

•Be at least in the equivalency of Freshman or Sophomore year of college
